 FRANCES TOSTON Frances Marie Toston, 69, a retired nurse, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 4, 2013. Born and raised in Epps, La., she walked in the spirit of the South with grace and style. After a 43-year career in nursing, Frances was committed to a life of service. She received an AA degree in licensed practical nursing and went on to become a registered nurse after obtaining a BS degree in the field. She began practicing at King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, and retired as a critical care staff nurse in 2006. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Toston; mother, Myrtle Lee Toston; and siblings, Madeline Thomas, Emma King and Simon Toston. She is survived by son, Christopher Toston; granddaughter, Taylor Toston; siblings, Jewel Sierra, Samuel Toston, Sweetie King, Lee Toston, Mary Freeman, Roosevelt Toston, Doretha Bams and Velma Avery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, at Heritage Mortuary, 3610 N. Rancho Drive. Funeral services provided by Calvary Baptist Church will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at 317 Madison Ave. Graveside services provided by Woodlawn Cemetary will be follow at 3 p.m. at 1500 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
