GARLAND ESPLIN Garland Esplin, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Cedar City, Utah, and was a resident of Nevada for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired nuclear testing superintendant. He was a retired teamster from the Nevada Test Site. Garland was preceded in death by his loving wife, of 48 years, Rosa Esplin; parents, Fern and Annie Esplin; sister, Muriel Esplin; brother, Buster Esplin; sisters, Colleen Sorenson and Ardath Staheli; brother, David Howard Esplin; and sister, Jeannene Esplin. He is survived by daughters, Tina Gorecke and Pamela Gordon; grandson, Mark David Anderegg; granddaughter, Rachel Gordon; and grandsons, Jimmy Gordon and Eric Anderegg. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, both at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. Burial will follow at noon at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest.
