GEORGIA JONES Georgia Anna Jones, 58, a senior citizen apartment manager and owner, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 26, 2012. She was born June 21, 1954, in Tallulah, La., and was a 54-year resident of Nevada. She was a natural giver, a very caring and sharing individual that worked tirelessly at helping those in need. Georgia took great pride in caring for the senior citizen tenants that live in the apartment complex she managed and owned, loving them and caring for them as she did her very own children and extended family. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Clarence Duncan; and her nephew, David Lee Phillips Jr. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Duncan; three children, LaTanya Phillips, Monroe Jones Jr. and Niani Jones; and her cat, Kimora Jones, all of Las Vegas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; brothers, Ivory Phillips, Attorney David Lee Phillips Sr., Ronnie Phillips, Kenneth Phillips and Roy Duncan Jr.; sister, Sondra Phillips-Gilbert; a host of nieces and nephews; brother and sisters-in-law; Godchildren; and friends and co-workers, whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be at 2-6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, at Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Tabernacle Of Praise Church of God in Christ, 7550 Constantinople Ave. (at Buffalo and Alexander), Las Vegas, NV 89129.
