GLENDORA TATUM BELL Obituary
GLENDORA TATUM BELL Thursday morning, March 16, 2017, at Spring Valley Hospital, God said to Glendora Tatum "Glen" Bell, "Well done my good and faithful servant," and called her home to Glory. She was born Feb. 16, 1950, to Fred and Aldorinia Tatum in Chicago, Ill. She was the second child of eight siblings. She also was Goddaughter to John and Glendora Stokes. Glen attended Fuller Elementary and Forrestville High School in Chicago, Ill. She received her degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill. Glen relocated to Las Vegas in 1977, where her sister, Bea, lived. She later met Tommy Bell, also from Chicago, Ill., in Las Vegas and were married Feb. 18, 1984. Glen was a teacher by profession. She taught at King High School in Chicago and Bonanza High School in Las Vegas. Glen loved arts and crafts, cooking, decorating and her bird, Happy. Cherishing her memory are her devoted husband, Tommy Bell; five sisters, Beatrice Lytle (Richard) of Las Vegas, Denise Wooley, Brenda Peat (Stanley), Veronica Porter (Sheered), all of Chicago, Ill., Benita Jackson of Serenity, Ill.; two brothers, Dr. Fred Tatum (Linda) of Hobart, Ind., and Victor Tatum (Karyn) of Las Vegas; Godsister, Ramona Stokes of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Affordable Cremation and Burial, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
