GLENNA CLAIRE Obituary
GLENNA CLAIRE Glenna Claire, 70, formerly of Oxford, Ind., who was a 30-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away June 10, 2017, at her home, from a sudden heart attack. Glenna was born March 26, 1947, in Lafayette, Ind., to her father, Ralph Winchester, who preceded her in death (wife, Pauline, who survives) and her mother, Phyllis (Winchester) (husband, Luther) Watson, who both preceded her in death. She was a 1966 Oxford High School graduate. She was a member of the Montmorenci Indiana Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one brother. She is survived by her husband, Philip Claire; two sons; three stepchildren; along with a total of 12 grandchildren between them. She is also survived by three sisters; and four brothers. In the last 20 years, she has helped her husband with their real estate brokerage in the Las Vegas area that they both owned. To Glenna, family meant everything and in her spare time, she loved to communicate with the grandchildren in Indiana and keep up on all of their activities. Glenna always enjoyed the many family friends that would come to Las Vegas to visit through the year. She was always very gracious in opening up her home and making plans to meet for dinner or helping with options for sightseeing around the area. She loved to take trips and travel whenever the opportunity presented itself. Any spare time outside the home she loved to visit the casinos and she was always extremely lucky. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Friday, June 23, with services following, Larry McMillan officiating, at the Oxford Church of Christ, 402 N. 5th St., Oxford, Ind. Burial following at the Oxford West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Power Soccer of Indy (for wheelchairs). Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, Ind. is assisting the family.
