The family moved to Henderson when Gus was five, and he graduated from Basic High School in 1969. After graduation, he moved to California for a short while before returning to Las Vegas. He met Jennifer Rhoden in Las Vegas, whom he married and spent 40 years with. Gus worked in the telecommunication industry most of his life giving him the opportunity to live and travel around the world. They lived in Canada, Puerto Rico, and all over the U.S. After more than 30 years in telecommunications, he and a friend opened and ran a business in Henderson called Bob's Pooper Scooper. Gus was a people-loving, adventurous person who was always looking for a challenge. His sense of humor was fantastic. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and doing the yearly toy runs. He received his pilot's license and loved to fly. He loved music and playing the guitar. He volunteered his time at his church and sometimes exemplified Christ-like traits. He enjoyed living in the desert and had a great love for dogs. He is survived by his soulmate, of 40 years, Jenny Constantine; two sisters, Connie Magee of Goodyear, Ariz. and Cindy Guzzetta and David Hoyt of Dixon, Calif.; three brothers-in-law, Joel, Jessie and Ronnie (deceased); and seven nieces and nephews that he loved dearly as they did him. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 2, at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive. Burial followed at the Boulder City Cemetery, 401 California Ave., Boulder City.
