HELEN TOMLINSON Helen Jean Tomlinson, of Hannibal, Mo., and formerly of Las Vegas, passed away June 30, 2012. Born March 20, 1930, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 40 years, Col. Robert C. Tomlinson, U.S. Air Force. Col. Tomlinson was a fighter pilot and a decorated veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Helen will be remembered for many things including her acumen as a businesswoman, skill as an artist and love of travel (Europe, Mexico and Asia). Survivors include four children, Cathy Smith, Charles Harrill, Randy Harrill and Colleen Pittman; stepsons, Chris and Brian Tomlinson; and sisters, Dorothy Cohen and Betty Richards. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren are her legacy. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Inurnment will follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
