SSGT. HILARION ANASCO JR. U.S. Air Force, Retired Jan. 17, 1935-July 25, 2013 Hilarion B. Anasco Jr., lovingly known as "Papa Larry" to his grandchildren and "Uncle Jun" to his family, passed away the morning of July 25, 2013, at the age of 78. Hilarion was born January 1935, to Hilarion Anasco Sr. and Felicidad Blanco, in the city of Makati in the Philippines. Soon after coming to the United States, Hilarion became an American citizen and enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring in December 1975. He held several jobs during retirement, but loved being a grandpa most of all. Hilarion was a devoted Catholic and faithfully attended Sunday Mass. Hilarion was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother, Antonio. Hilarion is survived by his wife, Vergie; son, Christopher; daughter, Jeri and her husband, Andy; daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Taylor; grandsons, Richard and Jarod; granddaughters, Kristin, Renae and Aeryn; sisters, Mely and Emy; nephews, Lawrence and Tony; nieces, Annette, Renee and Melissa; extended family, Andrew and Desiree, and their daughter, Lilly, and Eric; and friends who loved and knew him as "Tatay." Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89108. Hilarion will be respectfully interred, with full military honors, at 9:20 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. All are welcomed to attend both services.
