IRENE VATH Irene Margaret Vath, passed away quietly July 4, 2012, at home with her husband by her side. She was 77. She was born Nov. 28, 1934, the only daughter of Raymond and Florene Gale in Wagner, S.D. "Renie", as she was known by her friends, graduated from Wagner High School in 1953. Shortly thereafter, she met and married Larry Vath. They began their life together in Yankton, S.D. During the next five years, Irene gave birth to three children, sons Jay and Ray; and daughter, Ann. All three have survived and gave Irene nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to caring for her family, Irene worked for the Elks Lodge in Colorado, helping with their charities. She raised and cared for many "rescue" dogs during the past 45 years, enjoyed bowling, bingo and her "golf buddies." She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Las Vegas for their compassionate care. Services were private.
