JACK GALARDI Obituary
JACK GALARDI Jack Edward Galardi, known respectfully and fondly as "Mr. G," passed away peacefully, at his Georgia ranch, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was the founder and sole owner of Galardi South Enterprises in the southern states and Galardi Enterprises in the western U.S. Born in Trinidad, Colo., he served as a submariner in the U.S. Navy before beginning his business empire of nightclubs, restaurants, stores and other diversified businesses. Famous for his nightclubs and entertainment venues, often used by celebrities for private parties, and his "larger than life" Fourth of July parties he hosted at his ranch for his employees and all the locals. A self-made entrepreneur who built his multi-state corporation from a small bar in California to a giant business presence in both Las Vegas and the Atlanta/Miami areas, he is widely respected for his business acumen and generosity, both public and personal. He was a man who took great joy in helping others and fostering other small business people. He is survived by his daughters, Teri (Porter), Jackie (Torres) and Kathy (Holder); and son, Jack Jr.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection for Jack Galardi will be at noon, Saturday, Dec. 8, at St. Mary's Mother of God Catholic Church, Jackson, Ga. Interment services will immediately follow at his home, the Circle G. Ranch.
