JANE KEMP Jane Louise Kemp, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of August 9, 2012. She was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., June 15, 1925, and married Martin Leo Kemp Oct. 3, 1948. Martin and Jane raised their three daughters in Hemet, Calif. and were married for 39 years. Following Martin's passing in 1987, Jane moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family in 1992. "Grandma Jane's" love of life was obvious in how she touched people's lives every day. Her smile and optimism were magnetic and she never went a day without helping a friend, neighbor or stranger. She considered her Gemstone Drive neighbors to be extended family and they will miss her very much. She is survived by her three daughters, Lucinda Jane Creed, Judy Louise Lapointe, and Terri Elise Marcus; and beloved son-in-law, Luther Creed. Jane's legacy lives on in her granddaughters, Kelly Jane Bond, Jennifer Jane Creed, Casey Jane Barrett, and Taylor Jane Barrett; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Bond. While the women in her life are honored to have her name, the men and boys in her life were her rays of sunshine. Her grandsons being Kirk Halley, Jeremy Creed and Bradley Barrett; and great-grandsons, Owen Creed, Wesley Creed and Bradley Bond. Jane lit up every room she walked into and made new friends everywhere she went. She had a way of making people feel welcome and important. We will miss her desperately, and we will toast to her life every chance we get. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Lutheran Social Services of Nevada at www.lssnv.org. Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
