JANET ANDERSON Janet Kay Anderson peacefully passed away Aug. 8, 2012, at her home in Overton, after a gallant battle with cancer. The daughter of Okey Clifford and Esther Florence Williams Burgess, she grew up in Hialeah, Fla., and raised her family in Miami. In 1973, she moved to Las Vegas, where she later met her husband, Glen Eugene Anderson. They were married March 19, 1996 and moved to Overton in 1999. An avid painter, jewelry maker and collector of Native American Art, Janet enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. She was especially proud of her service to the Moapa Valley Art Guild and the Guild's Scholarship Program. Janet is survived by her husband, Glen; three children, Paul (Wendy) Oesterle, Judge Nancy Oesterle and Cindy (Chris) Prescott; two bonus children, Michelle (Steve) Castle and Daniel (Tracy) Anderson; bonus daughter-in-law, Kathy; one sister, Roberta Burgess; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her bonus son, Glen Anderson. Services were previously held Saturday, Aug. 11, in Overton.
