JANON WILLIAMS To know Janon Rita Williams was to love her. She was born in Chicago, the eldest of five siblings. Her family moved to Los Angeles when she was a young girl. There, she met Donald, her lifetime companion. Together, they enjoyed and endured 60 years of marriage. Janon loved the ocean so much that Donald build her a boat. They enjoyed many years on the ocean, and then on Lake Mead with her family and friends. Some of her favorite times were spent on or around her beloved Catalina Island. She and Donald moved to Henderson in 1990. She loved her life, spending time among her many friends at the Eldorado Casino and McMullan's Irish Pub, where she was lovingly known as "Red" because of her bright red hair. Janon lived every moment of her life to the fullest up to the end. She passed away peacefully in her sleep after a night of music and dancing among her "crowd." She will always be remembered as the first to arrive and the last to leave wherever she may have gone. Janon will live in the hearts of all those who were touched by her shining spirit and generous nature forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Ellen Gallagher; her sister, Jean Soberanes; and son, Donald Williams. She is survived by her husband, Donald Williams; children, Kenneth, Rick and Terry Williams, and Wendy Baker; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation was 4-8 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m., Friday, July 27, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial following at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
