 JEAN MATHEWS Jean Mathews was born June 24, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. She passed away Dec. 24, 2012, in Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Sherry; son, Johnny; and grand-daughter, Julie. She is survived by brother, Jim and his wife, Elaine; sons, Don and Michael; daughter, Lisa and her son, Rian; and granddaughter, Natasha and her children, Sasha and Harley. Jean lived much of her life in southern California, and spent the past 25 years in Las Vegas. She enjoyed her career in a retail department store. She also sold Avon in her retirement, was an amazing baker, a serious bingo player, enjoyed reading and collecting frog novelties. Jean was laid to rest in the Honor Garden at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
