JEAN SMITH Jean L. Smith, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 16, 2012. Jean was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Belton, Texas, to Charles and Lesbia May Bradford. She worked for Circus Circus Slots of Fun, Houston Lumber and the Las Vegas Club. Jean was preceded in death by six brothers; four sisters; and three grandchildren. She is survived by the love of her life, of 70 years, Bernard "Shorty" Smith; children, Chuck (Judy) and Tonya (Bennie); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to the in her name.
