 JOSEPH MUMFORD SR. Joseph Mumford Sr., 58, of Las Vegas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012. He was born March 29, 1954. An accomplished musician, Joe played guitar for such artists as Lionel Ritchie, Patti Labelle and the Pointer Sisters, to name a few. For the last eight years, Joe has also been a courier for Desert Radiologists. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Hughes; and granddaughter, Nasia Pearson. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his children, Joseph Mumford Jr., Phyllis (Joshua) Pearson, and Kelly and Eric Henderson; grandchildren, Nagh'Aree, Joshua Jr., Azlynn and Ne'Mya; his brother, Roy (Katherine) Hughes; his sister, Kewanna (Ron) Watkins; his aunt, Alice Mumford; three nieces; five nephews; and a host of family and friends. He is loved and greatly missed. Viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131.
