JOSEPHINE MAZZOLI Josephine Cleonice "Jo" Mazzoli passed away peacefully March 2, 2017, with her friends and family by her side. She was born Sept. 26, 1941, to Florence and Lincoln Mazzoli, in Vineland, N.J. She graduated from Vineland High School in 1959, completed her bachelor's degree in English from Kean College, received two masters degrees (reading and counseling) from Rutgers and Fordham Universities and a doctorate (English and counseling) from Rutgers University. She enrolled in Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy from 1985-1987, where she met Gianfranco Cecchin and Luigi Boscolo and continued her studies with them during four trips to Italy from 1983-91. She practiced her love of marriage and family therapy for two years in Canada (consulting therapist, family services of Hamilton/Wentworth, Ontario), nine years in Reno (first rural clinics/community health centers in Carson City, then Washoe County Medical Center), and 12 years in Las Vegas (UNLV Medical Center, Mojave). She had also had a successful private practice and was a beloved mentor to her many interns and students. She loved Italy, family, her work, her many friends and colleagues, good food and opera. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Del Tufo; and brother, Lincoln Mazzoli Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Parker; her son, Gerard L. Del Tufo; her granddaughter, Daniella J. Del Tufo; her stepdaughter, Jennifer Parker-Stanton; her first husband, Gerard A. Del Tufo; and her many other relatives. She will be greatly missed.
