JOYCE THOMPSON Joyce Rose Thompson, of Las Vegas, lost her long battle with Alzheimer's Disease Jan. 6, 2013. She was born in Atlanta, Aug. 9, 1934. Joyce married Lee Rose in 1956 and moved to Las Vegas in 1959. She was active in the PTA, Junior Mesquite Club, Clark County Attorneys Wives' Club, Service League and Junior League. She treasured spending time with friends, especially her weekly bridge game. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Rose. Joyce is survived by her sons, Keith Rose (Maryann), Michael Rose and Scott Rose; daughter, Jan Rose; four grandchildren, Amelia Rose, Alex Rose, Savannah Rose and Brandon Rose; and her husband, of 30 years, Thomas Thompson. Services will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 12, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services following at 1:30 p.m., at Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Nathan Adelson Hospice, www.nah.org
