JUAN DEL PRADO Juan J. Del Prado, 95, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012. He was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Havana, Cuba, to Jesus and Dulce Maria Antonia Del Prado. He was an attorney-at-law, former president of the Comodoro Yacht Club and owner of La Gruta Cocktail Lounge. Juan came to the United States in 1961 in search of a better life for his family. Juan became a proud citizen of the United States. He took a career in the casino industry and worked for Caesars Palace for 30 years. Juan was admired and loved by all he touched. He is survived by his lovely wife, Amelia Del Prado, of 73 years of marriage; daughters, Sonnia Betancourt, Magaly Del Prado and Dania Petrillo; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Juan A. Del Prado. Juan was a wonderful loving man and will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services following at Palm Memorial Park - Downtown.
