 KATHERINE BRANTS Katherine Ann McDaniel Brants, 81, passed away Oct. 29, 2012, from natural causes. She passed peacefully and is off to stir up trouble and kick up her heels in another life. Her family hopes they are prepared up there, they don't know what they're in for! She is survived by children and stepchildren, both owned and rented, Will Brants of Nevada, Valerie Webster of Texas, Fred Johnson of Australia, Texas, Roy Johnson of Texas, and Minor Jean Johnson of Texas; she had eight grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. She danced professionally in New York City, owned several businesses, and housed every animal from horses to peacocks. Through her many soul mates, husbands and jobs, she lived in Texas, New York, and Las Vegas. She competed in dance competitions and beauty pageants throughout her life, including Miss Senior Nevada. In the last years of her life, she lost a step to Parkinson's, but she still performed her favorite Rockettes number just the day before she passed. We wish her the best, as well as a new pair of dancing feet, on her new journey. Private services will be this Saturday, Nov. 3, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, Fort Worth, Texas.
