LARRY DAVIS Larry Joe Davis, "Papa Joe," 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Utah while returning home from a road trip to Wyoming. He was born March 30, 1942, in Leavenworth, Kan. His family moved to Henderson in 1946, and Larry graduated from Basic High School in 1960. At the time of death, Larry was a retired Teamster 995. He spent years working in sheet metal, valet parking and, most recently, engineering. Larry loved traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Roy Davis; and grandson, Austin Hampton. He is survived by his daughters, Coleen Davis-Soucy and Darcy Davis-Hampton; son-in-law, Sean Hampton; grandchildren, Megan, Brigitte and Dallin Soucy, Alexa, Taylor and Mia Hampton; siblings, Ruth Ann Spaulding, Betty Boone, Norman Davis and Mary Lou Roe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was held in high regard and loved dearly. All family and friends are welcome to attend his memorial services at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at CornerStone Christian Church, 5825 W. Eldora Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
