 LEON PRUET Leon "Skeeter" Pruet, 72, passed away from this life Tuesday, July 10, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Leon was currently a resident of Las Vegas, where he resided with his wife, of 52 years, Gayle. Leon lived in the Hulett, Wyo. area in the late 1970's and early 1980's on their ranch. They recently spent summers there, while winters in Las Vegas. Leon was born in Oklahoma. He loved to fish, was an excellent flint knapper (arrowhead maker), an avid reader and a fabulous storyteller. Leon was a sheet metal worker in the Seattle area for many years, before he retired. He was preceded in death by his father, David Pruet; mother, Marie Olin. He is survived by his wife, Gayle; son, Lloyd K. Pruet (Jan) of Hulett; daughter, Cindy Brown (Doug) of Washington; five grandchildren, Blaine Wood of Washington, Kevin Meek (Kendall) of Washington, Heidi Bachtel of Las Vegas, Jesse Pruet of California, and Ashley Pruet (Jon) Laue of Washington; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Esther Stednick (Paul) of Las Vegas; his sister-in-law, Anita Goodell of Douglas, Wyo.; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. A private family memorial will be held at a later date at the family ranch outside of Hulett.
