 LEONARD BYKOWSKI Leonard W. Bykowski, of Minot, N.D. was born April 6, 1925, to Felix and Maryann (Grabowski) Bykowski in Chicago, and passed away April 19, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in Guam. He attended Loyola College in Chicago. After college, he moved to New Jersey, and worked as metallurgist, retiring after 38 years. He was captain of the Rockaway Neck First-Aid Squad and served on the squad for 12 years. Leonard was once married to Nancy Bykowski and later married Kathryn Magaster Bykowski. He lived in Henderson from 1981-2009 and then he moved to Minot. He is loved by his family and friends and will truly be missed. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Martin Bykowski; two brothers; and four sisters. Leonard is survived by his daughter, Evelien Bykowski Walker; granddaughters, Lindsey, Chelsea and Casie; great-grandson, Jason; stepson, Wesley A. Magaster; stepdaughter, Cindy Magaster Bauccio; six more grandchildren; nephews, Paul, Philip, Raymond and Leonard; and niece, RuthAnn. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at New Shiloh Baptist Church, 3745 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas.
