LEROY CORDOVA In loving memory of Leroy J. Cordova. As of Sept. 2, 2012, he is resting peacefully. Leroy was born in Delta, Colo., and served his country as a gunman in the U.S. Army. He lived in Las Vegas for 58 years. He worked at the Blue Diamond gypsum mine for 32 years. He was 80 at the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry. Leroy is survived by his wife, Delores, of 61 years, whom he met in grade school. He is also survived by his three children, Jack Cordova, Cindy Fransisco, and Sabrina Nino. The best times of his life were spent with his nine grandchildren; and his eight great-grandchildren. He will be missed greatly and dearly by his family and especially by his loving wife. A rosary will be 4-7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, at St. Viators Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, with burial following at Davis Memorial Park.
