LILY FLETCHER Obituary
LILY FLETCHER Lily Fletcher (Koch), a Henderson pioneer, passed away December 24, 2017, at the age of 102, at the Bridge Assisted Living Facility, surrounded by her sister and nieces. Lily was born March 11, 1915, in Lumberton, New Mexico. She came from a large family of eight children. Lily worked for the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station, where she contributed greatly to the war effort. She assisted in the invention of a chemical compound that made it substantially safer to store explosives and minimize accidental detonation. Lily was widowed by the death by her first husband, Bill Koch. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Fran Fletcher; her parents, pioneers, Edward Peisker Sr. and Lugarda Peisker; her sisters, Mae Lattin, Alice Espinoza and Frances Coddington; and brothers, Leonard, Edward Jr. and William Peisker. She is survived by her sister, Bette Jo Peisker of Henderson; her nieces, Patty Hinds, Marilyn Anderson and Alice Jean Espinoza, all of Henderson; her nephew, Frank Lattin of Henderson; extended family, of her late husband, Fran Fletcher, daughters, Sharon, Pam and Dee Dee, and son, Bill, and a large number of great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Lily had many friends. We want to especially thank the following friends for their dedication and time spent with her, specifically, Toni Tibbets, Maggie, Patricia, and the staff at the Bridge and Compassion Care Hospice. We also wish to specially acknowledge Lily's dedicated, loving sister, Bette for her devotion, thoughtfulness and attention to Lily. Lily will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, January 8, with service following at 12:30 p.m., both at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway. Entombment following at Palm Memorial Park-Henderson.
