MARIAN JAPPE Marian Jappe was born in 1925 to Sallie J. and J. Harold Stephens in Colville, Wash. Most of her childhood was spent in Choteau, Mont. She graduated in 1947 as a registered nurse from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Havre, Mont. She married Leonard Jappe in 1948. They resided in Havre until moving to Las Vegas in 1963. They returned to Montana for nine years, and relocated back to Las Vegas in 1999. She ended her nursing career as a public health nurse at Clark County Health Department in 1975. She passed away in Las Vegas Sept. 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard N. Jappe; and her parents. Marian is survived by her daughters, Sallie (Louie) Broadway and Leonette (Jim) Alsup; son, Steven (Becky) Jappe; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., with Pastor Dan of Sun City Community Church. Donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
