 MARIETTA DAQUINO Marietta Ann DaQuino (Prost), 86, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2012. She has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1960. Marietta was born in St. Louis Oct. 26, 1926. Marietta, met her husband, Philip DaQuino while working at the Nevada Test Site at Yucca Mountain in 1960. They were married at Saint Anne's Church Aug. 18, 1962. She worked at Sunrise Hospital for 18 years as a surgical technician. Marietta was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 19 years where she devoted countless hours teaching, assisting the poor and attending bible study. She is survived by her three children, sons, Philip DaQuino II and Larry DaQuino and his wife, Jeannie DaQuino; daughter, Mary Elaine Karasik (DaQuino) and Dave Karasik; and four grandchildren, Katie DaQuino, Claire DaQuino, Blake DaQuino, and Alexis Karasik. Marietta will always be remembered as a loving, caring and generous person, not only to her family but to the many lives she touched. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, with reception following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
