 MARTHA WRIGHT Martha "Jo" (nee McGinnis) Wright, 79, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 23, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Charlotte, N.C., to Homer and Mason McGinnis. Jo graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte in 1952. She met Willis "Ted" Wright in Jacksonville, Fla., in August 1952. They were married in May 1953 at her parents' home in Charlotte. Since her husband was in the U.S. Navy, they travelled from one coast to another, including a duty station in Coco Solo, Panama, where their daughter, Frances Suzanne "Suzie" was born. Shortly after retiring from the Navy, Jo and Ted made their home in Las Vegas in 1983. Jo enjoyed life in Las Vegas, especially spending time with her husband at the casinos playing blackjack, baccarat and slots. Jo was a member of the Green Valley Presbyterian Church in Henderson. She is survived by her loving husband, of over 59 years, Ted: daughter, Suzie Wright; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Feb. 2, with services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
