MARY DAIGLE Obituary
MARY DAIGLE Mary Kathryn Daigle, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 8, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Mary was born in Philadelphia, in 1941. She worked for the Philadelphia Police Department as an office assistant before relocating to Mission Beach, Calif. in 1965. She married Gaston Daigle and they had Christmas Day twins, Jeanne and John. Mary was a stay-at-home mom for a decade, eventually going back to work for the school system and the San Diego District Attorney's office. Mary moved to Las Vegas in the 1990's and worked for the Clark County Clerk's office until retiring in 2006.Mary loved animals, camping, hiking, kayaking, Phillies baseball and the outdoors. She petitioned and lobbied to preserve natural land from development in both Utah and Nevada, and had her backyard certified as a bird habitat. Her generosity, kind heart and genuinely sweet disposition made an impact on all who knew her. Alzheimer's took her from us but never took away her special light. Mary was preceded in death by her ex-husband (yet life-long admirer), Gaston Daigle; her adored son, John Daigle; and her brother, Joseph. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Bullock; her son-in-law (and favorite guy) Craig Bullock; and the joys of her life, her grandsons, Bryce and Evan Bullock. Mary leaves behind brothers, James (Connie) and Thomas (Marie); sister-in-law, Joan; and very special nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She resided at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Las Vegas, who took such wonderful care of her in the last two years of her life. We are forever grateful for the staff and the love they show every day. Services will be private.
