 MARY LEAVITT Mary Elizabeth McClarren Leavitt, known as Betty, passed away July 9, 2012, in Las Vegas. She was born July 21, 1919, in San Bernardino, Calif. She is survived by her son, William Job Leavitt Jr. and his wife, Valerie. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Betty grew up in Dos Palos, Calif. She married William Job Leavitt Sr. in 1942. They were stationed at various locations for the military prior to their coming to Nellis Air Force Base in 1955. At the time of Bill's retirement from the Air Force, Bill and Betty went into real estate in Las Vegas. After Bill's death in 1968, Betty continued in real estate until her retirement. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the LDS Chapel, located at 4040 E. Wyoming. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. There will be visitation again 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, prior to the services. Interment will follow at Palm Memorial Park-Mausoleum.
