MARY RUSSO Mary V. Russo, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away July 7, 2012. She was born Nov. 4, 1922 and was a Las Vegas resident since 1982. Mary volunteered her time to several organizations including The United Way, Desert Sands Pioneer Club, where she held many offices, including president, Senior Friends/H2U and Sunrise Children's Hospital. She was awarded the Citizen of Distinction Award from the City of Las Vegas in 2002. Mary is survived by her daughter, Pam Leonard; granddaughter, Kerry (Sammy) Milburn; grandson, Rolfe Robert (Lorah) Leonard Jr.; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kaitlin, Gabriella and Rolfe III; and sister-in-law, Esther DiMarzio. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Russo; son-in-law, Rolfe Robert Leonard Sr.; and brothers, Frank and Pat DiMarzio. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
