 MELVA PEOT Melva Joan Peot, 75, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012. Melva was born Aug. 10, 1937 in Riverside, N.J. After graduating from Riverside High School, Melva worked as a secretary to the 21st U.S. Air Force Surgeon General at McGuire Air Force Base, where she met her husband, Tom. Her family was her life, and included not only her husband and daughters, but all of the dear friends she made throughout her lifetime. Melva was also a 28-year member of St. Viator Catholic Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Eleanor Bentzel; brother, Robert Bentzel; and her in-laws, Edward and Helen Peot. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; and her daughters, Danielle and Robyn. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, with Rosary at 6 p.m., at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, at St. Viator Catholic Church.
