COL. MICHAEL HARRIS U.S. Air Force, Retired Michael W. Harris, 72, of Henderson, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013. He was born in Medford, Ore., Feb. 11, 1940, to Wayne and Doris Harris. Mike was a man who stood high among men. He was esteemed, admired, respected and deeply loved by his wife, of 50 years, Dolores; children, Aaron and his wife, Lisa, Jennifer and her husband, Joe Potmesil, and Andrea and her husband, Alex Moore; seven grandchildren, Kyle and Brooke, Courtney, Claire and Casey, Hayden and Hunter; and sisters, Gayle and her husband, Dick Withnell, and Ginger Stratton. He was also highly esteemed, admired, respected and loved by his fellow fighter pilots in the U.S. Air Force. Men trusted their very lives to Col. Harris, who served as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Memorial services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or Wounded Warriors.
