MICHAEL TIETJEN Our beloved husband and dad, Mike Tietjen, went home to be with his Jesus, his Lord and Savior, Dec. 5, 2012. He was with his loving family until his very last moments at home. Mike fought a courageous fight during his year-long battle with cancer. Michael Tracy Tietjen was born Oct. 2, 1958, to Gordon and Patricia Tietjen, in Springfield, Ore. Mike graduated from Rancho High School in 1977. Following in the footsteps of his father, Mike worked at Young Electric Sign Company for 35 years. As a deeply devoted husband and father, the joys of his life were his family. He was the go-to Dad as the Scoutmaster, baseball coach, fisherman, woodworker, and homebuilder. Mike demonstrated his love and devotion to his Savior through all that he did. Through his example, others have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, which was Mike's utmost desire in this earthly life. A simple, quiet man, Mike was the wind beneath the wings of many, supporting his family in their endeavors and relishing in their accomplishments. Always willing to lend a listening ear, he will be sorely missed by his four boys who depended so much upon his words of wisdom and advise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Patricia Tietjen. He is survived by his wife, Jill Tietjen; and his four sons, Timothy, Zachary, Samuel and Lucas. All are invited to celebrate Mike's life at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, at The Crossing Christian Church 7950 W. Windmill Lane. A dinner in his honor will follow the celebration at the home of Cathy and Duane Keidel, 5138 Shadow Valley St.
