 MINTRELL DAVIS SR. Mintrell Davis, Sr., 80, a retired engineer of the secretary of defense, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 20, 2013. He was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Chicago, and was a resident of Nevada since 1992. Mintrell is survived by his sons, Mintrell Davis Jr. and Gregory Davis; his brothers, Ricardo and Gene Davis; granddaughter, Crystal Davis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruben, Arnold, Pierre, Bernard, Rudolph, John, Ralph, Edward, Kenneth, Cecil, Ramona and Virgil Davis; and his son, Glenn Davis. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
