ROBERT COLLET Obituary
ROBERT COLLET Robert Collet, 95, retired bank executive, passed away peacefully Nov. 7, 2012. He was born St. Patrick's Day 1917, to Robert E. and Isabelle Collet, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, as the final member of their nine-child family. Robert moved his own family, wife, J'lene, daughter, Nicole, and son, Corson, to Las Vegas in 1960, where sisters, Erna (Robinson) and Belle (James) had resided for many years. He was one of the original officers of Nevada State Bank and helped to open its doors that year. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed many activities in the company of his wife, who preceded him in death in 2007. Robert was proud of his U.S. Army service in North Africa and Italy during World War II and remained active as a chief warrant officer (W-4) in the Army Reserves until retiring in 1977. Robert is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Carlyle) Cornell of Laguna Beach, Calif.; son, Corson (Rosario) of Clackamas, Ore.; grandchildren, Karli, Chase, Cailan and Khia; niece and surrogate daughter, Roberta Jones; as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family. His family would like to thank his long-time caregivers, especially Silvia and Alma Trigueros, for their compassion and attentive care. There will be a private service, with military honors, in the near future, at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, where Robert and J'lene will rest together again. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to Solari Hospice Care whose wonderful service was so important to Robert during the past year.
