  ROBERT GOMEZ The Lord has taken away my beloved husband, Robert A. Gomez, 83, of Las Vegas, who passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at home surrounded by his wife, Josie, and loving family. Born April 25, 1929 in Parker, Ariz., Robert later moved to California where he met his wife, Josie. Robert, a 40-year resident of Las Vegas, was a retired carpenter from the local carpenter union, where he worked for 35 years. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 64 years, Josie; sons, Robert Jr. (Yolanda), Ronnie (Letty), Arthur and Jerry; daughters, Adela, Norma (Edward), Rosemary, Cindy (Edward), Linda, Nancy and Gina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Rafael and Jose; and sister, Maria. Throughout his life, family and friends could always count on Robert. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of many. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, both at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. "God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so He wrapped His arms around him and whispered, 'Come with me.'"
