 RON MARKOWICZ Ron Steven Markowicz, age 41, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. Ron was born Dec. 3, 1971, in Los Angeles, to the late Dov Baer Markowicz and Czarna Roza "Rozalie" (nee Lewkowicz) Markowicz. Ron had a love of family, especially his three daughters, a passion for culinary arts, traveling and the Lakers. He managed several restaurants and taught at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Ron is survived by his wife, Robyn (nee Barkan) Markowicz; children, Ivy Devorah Markowicz, Shiloh Fynn Markowicz and Rachel Daniella Markowicz, of Las Vegas; siblings, Heidi (David) Harpaz of Tarzana, Calif., and David (Tally) Markowicz of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and mother, Rozalie (Maurice Adari) Markowicz of Encino, Calif. There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Shiva observance will be at the Markowicz Family Home. Donations in Ron's memory may be made to Temple Beth Sholom, Las Vegas, Rabbi's discretionary fund.
