Obituary Condolences

RONALD PETSKA Ronald V. "Ronnie" Petska was called to his Heavenly Home unexpectedly August 30, 2017. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Minnie Petska; and sister, Judy. He is survived by his wife, of 35 years, and best friend, Barbara Walske Petska; children, Eric (Christy) Petska, Amy (Greg) Narey and Wendy (Chuck) Galian; grandchildren, Laurin, Cassidy, Taylor, Mason and Brody Petska, Ryan (Steph) Siegler, Davis and Jacob Narey and Samantha Galian; and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many other special family members and friends including his cousin, Roger "Nick" and Judi Nickels; and the mother of his children, Jeanne Cooper. Ronnie was a very proud husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was also a proud alumnus of Lincoln High School class of 1956 and the University of Wisconsin. He always represented the Badgers with pride. After receiving his Master's Degree from Wisconsin, Ronnie went on to be a dedicated and proud employee in management at Seagram's (Christian Brothers) and Badger Liquor. After retiring in 2002, Ronnie and Barbara relocated to their home on Painted Desert Golf course in Las Vegas. He was an avid golfer who had four holes-in-one and shot his age three times. Ronnie was a fixture in the "Men's Club" at Painted Desert and could be seen regularly on the course in his decked-out Wisconsin Badger golf cart. Before relocating, Ronnie was also an avid member at Rolling Meadows Golf Club in Fond du Lac. He was a "larger than life" guy that always lit up the room that he was in and was usually the best dressed guy in it! He will be dearly missed by all that knew, worked, golfed, dined and had cocktails with him!! Celebration of life will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 15, at Painted Desert Golf Club, 5555 Painted Mirage Road, in Las Vegas. There will also be a celebration of life 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Salvation Army.
