 ROSITA DAOANG Rosita Padilla Daoang passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, following a brief battle with colon cancer. She was 76. Rosita was born Oct. 5, 1936 in Waimanalo, Honolulu County, Hawaii, to her parents, the late Antonio and Teodorica (Pascua) Padilla. Rosita married Henry Calija Daoang Sr. Oct. 11, 1953, in Waimanalo, Hawaii. He passed away October 2012. Rosita is survived by her six children, Teresa (David) Bianchini, Henrietta (Joe) Ruvulo, Henry C. Jr. (Sammie) Daoang, Darryl A. Daoang, Allan Daoang and Paula Daoang; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and by 10 of her 11 siblings. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. The concluding service and interment following, at noon, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Henry.
