ROY MAYBERRY H. Roy Mayberry left this world peacefully, with his beloved children by his side, in Sparks. He was born in Craig, Colo., to Thomas L. and Lois H. Mayberry, the third of three brothers and one younger sister. While he grew up in the Salt Lake City area and attended South High School, he spent most of his life in Las Vegas, where he raised his family and worked in the casino industry in various positions beginning as a dealer and retiring as casino manager. He worked at many of the casinos in downtown Las Vegas and on the Strip beginning in the 1960's through the early 2000's. Highly patriotic throughout his life, Roy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He loved his country and its core beliefs of freedom, individualism and traditional values. He was a passionate conservative. Roy enjoyed history, politics, the West, nature and golf, which he was very gifted in, but what he loved and was most proud of was being the father to his four children, whom he had with Vicki M. Mayberry Williams. His children, family and those that love him are grateful he is resting in God's loving embrace. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin R. Mayberry Delew; brother, Bill Mayberry; mother, Lois Mayberry; and father, Tom Mayberry. Roy is survived by his son, Adam R. Mayberry and daughter-in-law, Tammy Mayberry; daughters, Carly A. Mayberry and Eden M. Little; sister, Sharon L. Murphy; brother-in-law, Fred Murphy; brother, Tom Mayberry; sister-in-law, Lois Mayberry; sister-in-law, Sody Mayberry; and grandchildren, Taylor, Jorden and Erin Little, and Reagan and Aydan Mayberry. Memorial services, with military honors, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Burial to follow at Davis Memorial Park.
