RUTH ROBINSON Obituary
RUTH ROBINSON Ruth Zitting Robinson passed away peacefully August 23, 2018, at home, with her family. She was born November 17, 1941, in Slayton, Minnesota, to Herman and Marie Debode Zitting, along with her sister, Helen Ferro, and brother, Earl Zitting. Marie and her children moved to North Dakota, where Marie and her father ran a bakery. Ruth spent enough time with her grandmother to learn Dutch. They moved to Spearfish, South Dakota during "The Blizzard" of 1949. Ruth graduated high school in 1959 and Black Hills Teacher's College in 1962. Ruth was involved with art, active in music, athletic and speech groups, graduated with honors and was inducted into "Who's Who." In 1962, she married Corky Robinson, they moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon, where they taught for three years and had two daughters, Corean Dee and Kelly Marie. The family moved to Las Vegas, where Ruth taught for 27 years, earned a Master's degree at UNLV in 1969, and eventually retired in 1992. Ruth was an accomplished boat driver and trick competition water skier, placing in the top five regionally for several years. Ruth finished her teaching career in California. She is survived by her husband; two daughters; six grandchildren; and six great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister; brother; mother-in-law, Freda Robinson; and brother-in-law, Leonard Robinson. Services pending.
