 RUTH SPIVEY Ruth A. Spivey, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at 69. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, March 23, 1943, to Maurice and Neva Morrisey. Ruth graduated from Apollo School of Practical Nursing in 1978 in Ohio, and moved to Las Vegas in 1998 to be near her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished. Ruth was very loving and caring and spent many years being a "grandmother" to many children. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she would cry at every first snowfall. Ruth is survived by son, Jerry Spivey; daughter, Jennifer Spivey; sister, Lois Morrisey; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
