SANDRA THOMPSON Sandra Jean Thompson, 71, passed away at her home, in Las Vegas, Sept. 16, 2012. Sandra was born May 14, 1941, in Chicago, to Richard and Dorothy Bohlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Edward. Sandra is survived by her children, Scott Thompson, Tricia and Michael Crowder; and grandchildren, Amanda (16), Tyler (11) and Megan (7); and beloved dog, Zoey. She grew up in Chicago, and had the occasion to live in Tucson, Ariz., North Carolina, Honolulu, and Colorado Springs, Colo., before ultimately settling in Las Vegas in 1990. Her career paths were plentiful, she was a manager at a golf pro shop in Hawaii, worked as an executive secretary in Colorado, retired as a professional property manager in Las Vegas, and then came out of retirement to assist with the administration of a local law firm. Sandra will be fondly remembered and celebrated for her quick wit, independence, integrity, elegant style and unconditional love of her family and friends. She was very creative and had a natural flair for fashion and decorating. Her family and friends were often the lucky recipients of beautiful wreaths, exotic flower arrangements and endless thoughtful and personalized gifts. She enjoyed and never stopped learning, whether it be exploring and sharing the "dos" and "not to dos" of fashion styles, the latest tips and tricks for seasonal/holiday decorating, or mastering a new computer software program. Sandra will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but forever carried in their hearts. Special thanks to nurse Amy and Infinity Hospice for their support and assistance. A life celebration memorial service will be private. For information call (702) 233-3063. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the or the .
