 SARA DIEFENDERFER Sara Emma Diefenderfer passed quietly in her sleep, Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. She was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Mohrsville, Pa., the ninth and youngest child of Clarence and Stella Shrom. Sara is survived by her devoted and loving husband, of 63 years, Robert. She is also survived by her siblings, Mildred Rumberger, John Shrom, Dolly Gruber, and Pearl Carl; her three children, Glenn (Jill) Diefenderfer, Kathy Silvas, Sally (Dave) Steenbergen; her four grandchildren, Tiffany (John) Ermi, LCDR Stephen (Lara) Audelo, SGT Jefferson (Valerie) Steenbergen, and Amanda (Nicholas) Westerbeek; and 10 great-grandchildren, Shelby, Emily, Ashley, Owen, Foster, Charlotte, Violet, Desmond, James and Noah. Services will be Saturday, Aug. 11, at First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV (time to be announced). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the
Desert Southwest Chapter.
