 SHARON ROBERTS Sharon Roberts, 72, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 23, 2012. She was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Lovell, Wyo., and a 45-year resident of Nevada. She pursued her higher education after raising her family. She earned her bachelor and master degree with honors from UNLV. She taught in elementary schools, received many educational awards, and retired after 17 years of service. She used her retirement years to pursue her love of gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband, of 51 years, Barrett H. Roberts; two brothers and one sister, Clarence Townsend of Utah, Tim Townsend of Cowley, Wyo., and Connie Taylor of Las Vegas; two sons and a daughter, Brose Roberts of Las Vegas, Lora (Ron) Oatneal of Las Vegas, and Russell (Kathy) Roberts of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren, which she loved very much. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m., Mon., Dec. 31. Services will be at 11 a.m. both at the LDS Church, 6051 Dorrell Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
