SHIRLEY ISAACS Shirley Ann Isaacs, 57, of Henderson, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 in St. Paul, Minn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Noriko Irmen. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, of 33 years, John; sons, Joseph (30) and James (27); and daughter, Jordan (25); father, Clayton Irmen; sister, Lorraine Irmen; brother, Terry Irmen; many nieces and nephews; and her two adoring bichons, Birdie and Suki. Although she lived most of her life in Minnesota, Shirley found true happiness after moving to her home in SouthShore, Lake Las Vegas in 2006, where she established many wonderful friendships within the community. Shirley had many passions, though none were greater than her love for the culinary arts. Whether she was cooking a feast for her family and/or friends, or trying out the newest restaurants in Las Vegas and around the world, she found great joy in all things food. When Shirley cooked a meal, she could feed a standing army! However, her greatest love was for her family and friends. As most who were fortunate to know her realized, she was a woman of substance who possessed great empathy for all with whom she made contact. Her sense of humor, infectious laugh and nurturing qualities are the stuff of legends. She will be sorely missed! Memorial services to honor and celebrate Shirley's life will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, at the SouthShore Golf Club in Lake Las Vegas, 100 Strada Di Circolo, Henderson, NV 89011. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to support her favorite charities in her name. Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation (MC-LEF) Tax I.D. 22-335-7410, Mike Tobey, 42 Via Paradiso St., Henderson, NV 89011 and Heaven Can Wait Animal Society www.HCWAS.org Valerie Treaster, 38 Via Paradiso St., Henderson, NV 89011.
