SIBBY MAHONEY Sibby Mahoney passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 12, 2012. Sibby was born Nov. 9, 1941, in New York state, where she resided 'til 1998, when she moved to Henderson. She is survived by her beloved husband, of 42 years, Frank; son, Sammy; daughters, LuAnne, Maria and Nanci; 10 grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister. Sibby retired from Blythdale Children's Hospital and has worked alongside Frank and Luanne at Nevada Center for Missing Loved Ones, a non-profit organization she started with her husband in 1997. She served as president on two Homeowner Association boards, Rainbow Creek and Ventana Canyon. Funeral services will be private. For all the many friends and associates whose lives she touched, there will be a public memorial Mass at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway (Green Valley and Horizon Ridge). All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to or Nevada Center for Missing Loved Ones.
