SUSAN SHEVLIN Susan Shevlin, 65, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012. She was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Elko. Susan was an active professor at Sierra Nevada College and an instructional coach at Pat Diskin Elementary School. Susan touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother, Cathy Smith; sister, Carlene Simon (Greg); children, Stephanie, Matthew and Jennifer (Chris); and her dog, Dakota. She was a loving grandmother to Ashley, Mackenzie, Alyson and Jackson. Viewing will be 3-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at The Crossing, 7950 W. Windmill Lane. There will be a celebration of life following at the Shevlin home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a .
