SUSANNE EVARTS Susanne Roylance Evarts, devoted wife and mother, returned to live with her Heavenly Father Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. She passed away comfortably at her home, surrounded by friends and family after a brief illness. She and her husband (Cliff) are the founders and owners of Vegas Weddings. Susanne was raised in Anchorage, Alaska where she grew up as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her father (Fred) was the Bishop of the first ward organized in Alaska. She served a full-time mission for the church in the Washington, D.C. area. Susanne attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. That is where she met her sweetheart, Cliff Evarts. They were married Jan. 29, 1969 in the Oakland, Calif. Temple. Susanne's special achievement in life was being a wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and interior decorating. She provided all the interior design for the Vegas Weddings chapels. Susanne touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, compassion, and friendship. Susanne was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Roylance; her mother, Margaret Hartley Roylance; her brother, Donn Roylance; father-in-law, Leland Evarts; and sister-in-law, Claudia Evarts Linville. Susanne is survived by her husband, of 44 years, Cliff Evarts; her daughter, Leslie Evarts of Henderson; her son, Justin (Brandee) Evarts of Las Vegas; five grandchildren, Ethan, Nathan, Luke, Emily and Hailey Evarts of Las Vegas; brothers, Jonathan (Mandy) Roylance, Joel (Lani) Roylance, and James Roylance of Anchorage, Alaska; mother-in-law, Rosanna Hussey Evarts; and sisters-in-law, Clara Evarts of Salmon, Idaho, and Millie Smith of Lebanon, Oregon. Services will be at the LDS Pebble Chapel, 2091 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, Saturday, Feb. 9. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Anchorage.
